Causes of Commercial Vehicle and Delivery Truck Accidents
Many truck accidents are the direct result of either the truck driver or trucking company violating the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs). These complex regulations are meant to prevent truck accidents and protect innocent motorists. Unfortunately, the FMCSRs are often violated, resulting in serious and even fatal injuries.
Commercial vehicle and delivery truck accidents can often be attributed to the following causes:
- Improper inspection or inadequate maintenance
- Extended hours — Drivers working extended or odd hours, causing driver fatigue
